Gina Sandí Díaz
Welcome to my site.
I am a bilingual artist and scholar from San José, Costa Rica; living in Fresno, CA. Although I was trained as an actor, my work in theatre is mostly as a director, deviser, or in applied theatre.
Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Theatre at California State University, Fresno, where I specialize in Latinx Theatre, Devised Theatre, Acting, and Directing. I am also the National Vice-Chair of Representation, Equity, and Diversity for the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF).
I hold a Ph.D. (2017) and M.A. (2007) in Theatre from the University of Kansas and a B.A. and Licenciatura in Acting from Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica. My artistic production and scholarship reflect my multicultural interests and social justice drive.
Enjoy your visit,
-Gina
